Most people have busy lives, filled with work, family, home or hobbies. We are no exception. We both work, are luckily to be able to share time with two young granddaughters. We enjoy the benefits of living in a vibrant town, where there is plenty to do come rain or shine!
But sometimes you have to take a moment to stop and smell the roses, watch a sunrise , listen to the silence and take a moment to breath.
We soon found out that having a Motorhome made us do this without thinking. After all, in the Motorhome it’s just us. We don’t have all those house chores to do, and if we want peace and quiet or a moment to reflect, then we just turn on the engine and move. It’s made us enjoy the things we love even more, for instance take food. I love to shop for it, cook and we both love to eat it. Now we find that at each new place we are seeking out a new deli with local produce, inspiring me to cook a new dish, or taste a new cheese, or in Mr S’s case, try a local beer.
We have stumbled upon lovely little restaurants tucked away in courtyards or side streets, that had we would not have, had we not taken the MH for a weekend away, to do nothing by potter and discover.
Serendipity. “ The pleasure of finding things by chance “
So take a moment in your Motorhome, smell the fresh sea air, walk along a path you’re not been before, eat some food you’ve not tasted and travel in anticipation of the simple things that you are about to discover and enjoy. Good luck !
