They say that it is the simple things that make you happy, that make you smile. Unexpected pleasures, kind gestures or unplanned events. So when we decided we wanted a Motorhome we did research on what we wanted , what we do with it etc. One of the most informative, funny and interesting places were the online groups on Social Media . Some sites are quite serious, but most are very helpful and very funny.
One of the early things we found out , was Motorhomers wave to each other. Some with a short salute, others with an enthusiastic wave and some with a brightly coloured foam hand. But all with a smile and a sense of camaraderie. Which as would learn would be something that made us return the wave, and it made us smile too. A simple gesture that brought pleasure! Soon we were counting the times ( I’m sure the novalty will wear off) but it has been come A little competitive between us. So imagine my disappointment, when I was driving around last week and spotted a Motorhome then waved enthusiastically at them, only to be totally ignored. Well I thought, maybe not everyone does engage in this practice, don’t take it personally I thought, only to realise I was driving my car! ?♀️. How foolish I felt, after all, just because I was sat up high, in a chair with a raised back and arm rests, did I think I was in Our Motorhome. But it did make my smile, I even chuckled out loud at my stupidity!.
So folks if you happen to see a women driving a dark blue Range Rover , frantically waving at your Motorhome, please wave back because it’s probably me forgetting I’m not in our Motorhome Lily!
